'Omacx Healthcare market share grows'

The healthcare sector in Sri Lanka has recorded significant growth over the past few years. The progress has resulted in improving the quality of life and effective management of medical issues.

The pharmaceutical industry, through efficient drug imports has helped the management and control of diseases in the country.

Omacx Healthcare (Pvt) Ltd has become one of the consistent quality pharmaceutical importers with a growing market share, Marketing Director, Omacx Healthcare, Nuwan Chamara Fonseka said.

The approach to healthcare by the Government has opened new avenues and a multitude of opportunities to the pharmaceutical industry. However, it is only professionally-run corporate entities that are bound to harness the new vents created by the industry, he said. The quality of products and operations will be the key to sustain and enhance the market share in the complex business environment. This is a major challenge to many pharmaceutical marketeers and we strive to maintain high quality processes right throughout, he said. Omacx specialises in the import and distribution of quality oncology (cancer) drugs in Sri Lanka. It is a key supplier of a range of life-saving oncology products to the Ministry of Health through the Medical Suppliers Division.
