Holcim to improve skills of masons

Holcim Lanka recently launched masons.lk, to improve the skills of masons across the country and provide a provide a readily accessible database to large and small contractors.

This website will maintain a large pool of masons in Sri Lanka equipped either with qualifications or years of experience, and link them to contractors local and global, willing to provide job opportunities for this segment while helping to develop their livelihood. In addition to providing information on the mason's region, qualifications, experience and specialties, the website also offers information on recommended products.

Marketing Manager, Channel Development, Holcim Lanka, Dinesh Hamangoda said, "This has been a dire need for some time and we are proud to see it materialise. While enabling house builders across the country to source skilled masons from the vicinity of their site, the website also provides masons with a platform to find good job opportunities."

"We at Holcim will coordinate between both parties once we receive a request and will offer assurances to both parties to guarantee a smooth partnership. We call on masons and house builders to use this resource to better develop their businesses and livelihoods," he said.
