‘Shades of brilliance’ at British School

The biennial art exhibition‘ Shades’ was held on June 5. It captured the creativity of young artists through children’s eyes. It was the 12th art exhibition of the Junior School

A self-designed fashion show with ‘under-the-sea’ or ‘sea-creature’ outfits was also on display. A ballet performance captured the moods and colour of the sea. The chief guest was Michael Anthoniesz, a talented artist.

The artists were guided by Ms. Indika Wijebahu Wickramaratne and Ms. Noeline Karunaweera assisted by Ms. Sasha Kulasuriya. The exhibition is open to schools on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and to the public on weekends from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the school premises at 63, Elvitigala Mawatha, Colombo 8, till Sunday, July 5, 2015. Here we showcase some of the events at the opening
