Poems
We saw the moon
We saw the moon from our room,
Then we took our books and
Went to the roof.
We sat on a log of wood,
My left foot got cool,
So I wore socks of wool,
We had hot food,
We went to the zoo
Next afternoon.
An apple
Up in the apple tree,
High off the ground,
I see an apple,
So big and round.
I climb up the tree,
And hold on tight.
I pick that apple,
And take a big bite!

Dirt on my shirt
There's dirt on my shirt,
And leaves in my hair,
There's mud on my boots,
But I don't really care.

The kite
Up in the air,
See the kites fly,
Like coloured birds,
In the wind-whipped sky.
I wish I were small,
And light as air,
I would climb on a kite,
And sail up there.
Then I'd drift upon
The paper wings
And hear the songs,
That the wild wind sings.
What fun, it would be,
To look right down -
Over the park,
And the rooftops of town.
The people below,
Would stand and stare,
And wish they were me,
High, high in the air.

Puddle pictures
In every puddle
Lies a picture in a muddle,
Wibble-wobbling upside down.
Then the puddle dries
And the picture dies,
And as you can see it brown.
