Angelo Perera re-emerges

One time promising batsman Angelo Perera has reappeared, this time to captain what is called a Sri Lanka Emerging team for a one-day home series against the South Africa Emerging team.

Two years ago Perera was touted by former selection chief Sanath Jayasuriya as a “batsman who could walk into the Sri Lanka team at any time”.

He however went out of the frame.
