Chartered Accountants National Conference in November

The National Conference of Chartered Accountants will give insights to policy makers and regulators on formulating policies to achieve holistic excellence from entrepreneurship to manufacturing to the overall national economy, President, Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CASL), Arjuna Herath told guests at the launch of the National Conference in Colombo recently.

Herath said that the conference is recognized as one of the country's biggest and most anticipated business summits.

Its deliberations will educate the corporate sector on the importance of economic collaboration that can lead to competitive advantage and how companies can achieve excellence through collaborative supply chain models and how the Public-Private Partnership (PPPs) could be deployed as an effective strategy not only to meet the colossal funding of the infrastructure projects but also to ensure technological and efficient management systems.

The 36th National Conference of Chartered Accountants will be held from November 4-6 at the BMICH. The theme of this year's conference will be 'Catalyst 2015: Collaborate to Compete'.

High profile local and foreign speakers will shed insight on how continuous collaboration could steer innovation within diverse organisations and how to harness the best talent in organisations, which could ultimately result in organisations producing outstanding results.

There will be two days of technical sessions and will also explore how the collaborative role of a finance professional could accelerate business growth, along with individual professional advancement. The conference has built a reputation as a business summit that provokes thoughts and spurs insight into broad economic and business issues, apart from its emphasis on finance related topics. Chairman, National Conference Technical Committee, Nandika Buddhipala said the National Conference will become a platform to effectively address the challenges of the corporate world.

This year the conference will accommodate up to 1,500 people including high profile business leaders, while the proceedings of the conference will also be transmitted live via webcast for the convenience of over 2,000 overseas and local members of CASL who are unable to participant at the conference physically.
