JLanka Technologies sponsors international energy conference
The second Annual International Conference on Energy - 2015
(ICOE-2015) was held from September 2-4 at the Hotel Galadari under the
theme 'Advanced energy horizons-opportunities and challenges'.
It was organized by the International Institute of Knowledge
Management (TIIKM) - Sri Lanka for the second consecutive year.
The second International Conference on Nanoscience and
Nanotechnology-2015 (ICNSNT-2015) was also held as a concurrent
conference at the same venue.
Registered participants were granted free access to participate in
the concurrent conference. JLanka Technologies - a solar power solutions
provider was the main sponsor of the event. The ICOE -2015 was a
multi-discipline platform to discuss advanced energy sources,
opportunities and challenges.
The keynote speakers included Prof. Morinobu Endo of the Department
of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Faculty of Engineering,
Shinshu University, Japan who spoke on 'The State-of-the-Art Science and
Applications of Carbon Nanotubes' while the other speakers were Group
Leader of the Electronics, Power and Energy Conversion (EPEC) Research
Group, Electrical Engineering Division, Department of Engineering,
University of Cambridge, United Kingdom (UK), Prof. Gehan Amaratunga;
Professor of Chemistry, University of Colombo and Science Team Leader,
Sri Lanka Institute of Nanotechnology (SLINTEC), Prof. K.M. Nalin de
Silva; Senior Professor in Chemistry at the University of Peradeniya,
Prof. R.M. Gamini Rajapakse.
