Blue Mountain buys Bankhill Sports and Wellness complex

Real estate company, the Blue Mountain Group, recently bought the Bankhill Sports Complex and Wellness Centre, which will be rebranded as the Blue Mountain Wellness and Sports Complex in Battaramulla. The acquisition is part of a long-term diversification strategy to expand its services into the area of physical wellness and healthcare.

The centre was originally built to serve Hollywood and Bollywood celebrities and foreign delegates and diplomats visiting Sri Lanka. Membership for the complex is subject to approval from a Board of high-end professionals.

The Blue Mountain Wellness and Sports Complex is a multi-storeyed building featuring two studios which have a world-class gymnasium equipped with techno-gym equipment. The centre also has a group training studio for zumba, yoga and aerobics that can accommodate over 100 people and a steam room and a health food and juice bar, plunge pool and jacuzzi.

Chairman, Blue Mountain Group, Dr. Hiran Hettiarachchi said, "As a medical doctor, I always say that prevention is better than cure. Staying fit and healthy prevents the onset of an array of diseases such as diabetes and hypertension.
