Admo Solar concentrates on zero emission

Admo Solar (Pvt) Ltd. is a provider of solar power solutions for industries, businesses and residencies. They have come up with a cost-effective solution for electric car owners by providing tailor-made packages to save electricity which is needed to power car batteries on a regular basis.

At first, electric cars were received with a mixed reaction and a sense of doubt as to its effectiveness. However, in time it was gradually accepted on its merits; zero-emission and environment-friendly in keeping with the go-green concept.

Electric cars are becoming the trend in the motor vehicle industry and are being introduced to Sri Lanka by leading electric car manufacturers of the world. Though there is no fuel consumption, electricity is needed to charge the battery. This is an additional electricity cost for the vehicle owners as these electric vehicles consume 100-400 units (kwh) of electricity per month depending on daily mileage.

About 50 percent of Sri Lanka's power generation is by thermal energy, burning fossils fuels or coal. Though electric vehicles cause zero emissions in terms of carbon dioxide and other harmful gases, more fossil fuel or coal have to be burnt to generate more power to cater to the demand of rising electricity use to charge the batteries of electric vehicles. Therefore, the harmful impact on the environment is greater and the use of electric vehicles will not save money.

Considering these factors, Admo Solar has designed three packages to cut down on additional electricity for electric vehicles, which also could be upgraded to offset home electricity consumption.

Admo Solar is known for its renewable energy solutions such as solar net metering electricity systems, solar hot water systems and solar street lights.

The use of quality components from Germany, USA, Canada and Japan is the key to its success backed by the professionals in the trade.
