Lecture on 'Right to Information'
A lecture on 'Right to Information - A Responsibility for All' by
Corinna Zarek, a Senior Advisor at 'White House' Washington, USA, will
be held on Tuesday, September 8 at 3.00 p.m. at the Sri Lanka Press
Institute Auditorium, Kirula Road, Colombo 5.
The event which is open to journalists and the public is coordinated

Krishnamurti talk
A recorded public talk on 'What is the Significance of Meditation?'
delivered by the late Indian sage, Jiddu Krishnamurti will be replayed
at the Study Centre, Beddagana, Duwa Road, Kotte today, September 6 at
10.30 a.m.
It is organised by the Krishnamurti Centre, Sri Lanka Inc.
Wesley College's 'Walk of Grit 2015' on Oct.3
The Wesley College Annual Walk, 'Walk of Grit 2015' will be held on
Saturday, October 3. Starting at the College premises in Borella at 3.00
pm, it will wind up at the CR&FC grounds at Longden Place, Colombo 7.
The walk to raise Rs. 12 million, will be used to rehabilitate the
century-old college building and the playgrounds of branch schools at
Havelock Town and Katunayake.
The Walk will culminate with a musical extravaganza themed "Concert
of Grit", a live concert which will showcase past and present musicians.

Blood-donation at Sathya Sai Seva Samithi
A blood-donation camp will be held at the Sathya Sai Seva Samithi at
Barnes Place, Colombo 7 on Thursday, September 10 from 2.30 p.m. to 7.00
p.m.
An awareness program will also be conducted in English by Dr. Sandun
Mahesh of the National Blood Centre. A program in Tamil by Dr.
Anushyanthan of National Cancer Control Unit will be held on Sunday,
September 6 at Sivananda Nilayam, Wellawatte. |
