Kaushal to test at Indian lab

Off-spinner Tharindu Kaushal will undergo a test to his bowling arm at a University laboratory in Chennai, South India after he was booked by the International Cricket Council (ICC) for a suspect delivery action.

He will travel to Chennai next week along with Sri Lanka Cricket's head of coaching Jerome Jayaratne.

Kaushal (22) came under scrutiny during the concluded India-Sri Lanka three Test series as he finished with 13 wickets.

Kaushal who has so far played in six Tests will however be able to bowl until the laboratory test results are out.

His booking also coincides with a drive by Sri Lanka Cricket to stamp out chucking or throwing at school and domestic club matches.
