Tiesh opens jewellery store in Kollupitiya

Tiesh, a family owned gem and jewellery business focusing on the tourist sector over the past two decades, has gathered vast knowledge and insight on catering to discerning customers from many parts of the world including Europe, Russia, Japan, China and the United States of America.

Tiesh’s success in the tourism sector is largely due to every single element of the business being in the hands of founder and Managing Director Lasantha de Fonseka and his family. His wife Bryony, son Ayesh and daughter Thiyasha work in the company as Directors managing the Kandy and Colombo branches.

Tiesh’s new jewellery showroom at R. A. de Mel Mawatha, Kollupitiya, will provide the same level of quality and customer service to the local market as they have been doing for tourists by providing diamond jewellery, imported 22kt and 18kt gold jewellery and silver jewellery encompassing the best stones that Sri Lanka and the world has to offer.

De Fonseka said, “We have gone to all parts of the world to bring only the best jewellery for Sri Lankan clients.

I have had many requests from family and friends to open a store that sells the same standard of jewellery that we provide in the tourism trade.”

“Our motto is ‘The story behind the sparkle’. At Tiesh we don’t just sell you a piece of jewellery, we give you an item that you will cherish for a lifetime by giving you the best insight on how each piece of jewellery is made and what contents have gone into making each item into a beautiful masterpiece,” he said.
