The hardships of being a pilot

I am smart and serious,
I wonder what it is like not to fly,
I hear the sound of a propeller,
I see another plane,
I want to take-off,
I am smart and serious.

I have taken off, no turning back now,
I pretend I'm playing a game,
But I feel the G-forces,
I touch sticks and knobs,
I worry I'm losing control,
I am smart and serious.

I understand the risks,
I say, "I can do this,"
I dream what I said is true,
I try to control the plane,
I hope we do not crash!

My school promise

Each day I will do my best,
And I won't do any less.
My work will always please me,

I will colour very carefully,
My writing will be neat.
And I will not be happy,
Until my papers are complete.

Just because they call you "bug"

Our Earth

The Earth is ours to enjoy,
For every little girl and boy,
But we must always be aware,
That all its beauty we must share.
With all the children yet to come,
Who want to laugh and play and run,
Around the trees and in the fields.

So we must keep our planet free,
From messy trash and debris,
With air that's clean and fresh and clear,
For all to breathe from year to year,
We must never ever abuse,
Our sweet Earth that's ours to use.
