Appeal for ‘O’ kidney

Lion Mohan Anthonypillai, a member of the Lions Club of Aluthgama, Bentota, Lions International District 306 A1 and a hotelier by profession is diagnosed with end-stage kidney failure and Consultant Nephrologist of the Sri Jayawardenepura Hospital Dr. Chula Herath has recommended immediate kidney transplant.

His blood group is O+ and appeals for a kidney from a donor with blood group “O”.

Heenseraya drama at Punchi Theatre

Munidasa Kumarathunge’s Heenseraya, produced as a new children’s drama by award-winning dramatist Janapriya Jayasinghe will be staged at Namel Malini Punchi Theatre, Borella on Wednesday, September 23 at 6.pm.

 

 

 

 


Book launch on Sept. 24

The book ‘St. John’s College, Nugegoda – 100 Years of Excellence’, authored by Jagath C. Savanadasa and published by the Old Boys’ Association will be launched on Thursday, September 24 at 4.30 p.m. at the ‘Olympic House’, Independence Avenue, Colombo 7.

Moratuwa University Convocation tomorrow

The University of Moratuwa will hold its 36th General Convocation tomorrow, September 21 at the BMICH, in three sessions.

The first session will commence at 8.30 a.m., the second at 1.00 p.m. and the third at 4.00 p.m. Over one thousand five hundred graduands will be conferred the degrees at this General Convocation.
