New products from Philips Lanka Solutions
Philips Lanka Solutions (Pvt) Limited, a subsidiary of the
Netherlands based Royal Philips unveiled its expansion plans in Sri
Lanka through the introduction of new products focused on personal
health. This portfolio will include kitchen appliances, grooming,
coffee, baby care products and air purification.
Philips has been in Sri Lanka since June 2013 and has primarily
focused on its healthcare business which offers health solutions focused
on diagnosis, treatment, recovery and homecare for patients. Its
healthcare portfolio includes diagnostic imaging products such as CT and
MRI, obstructive sleep apnea management and home respiratory care
products as well as cardiology and patient monitoring solutions.
CEO, Philips Sri Lanka, Sanjay Bapna said, "Healthcare is an unmet
need today. At Philips we intend to serve our consumers across the
health continuum starting from healthy living and prevention of diseases
to the right diagnosis, treatment, recovery and home care. So far we
were offering solutions for a part of this continuum with the help of
our professional healthcare portfolio. With the introduction of new
products focused on consumer health, we will ensure that people are able
to lead a good life by monitoring and managing their health."
"We will be focusing only on technology space of healthcare and has
secured the leadership position in this regard at present. We have the
opportunity to grow in the field of personal health. We have plans to
reach out more touch points and to double the number within next few
years," he said.
The aging population in Sri Lanka has specific needs in terms of food
and healthcare facilities. We are geared to handle this area with our
health systems and personal health care offerings, Bapna said. |
