Cricket awards set for October 19

The much awaited and much looked forward to extravaganza the Dialog Sri Lanka Cricket awards ceremony 2015 will take place on October 19 with all the regalia.

Sri Lanka Cricket is bound to honour and recognize the performances of its p layers men and women who have excelled in local and international cricket tournaments.

The main feature of the ceremony will be the selection of the Dialog Cricketer Of The year and the Dialog People’s Player Of The Year selected by the cricket loving public in the island via SMS voting.

Dialog Axiata the sponsors of the Sri Lanka cricket team has gone one step further by powering the award ceremony for the third consecutive year.

Sidath Wettimuny Chairman SLC said that he was very grateful for the fantastic effort made by Dialog in recognizing the cricketers. “About 65 national cricketers will receive awards for their outstanding contribution at domestic and international level during the year 2014/ 2015.

These players have engraved their names in the record books setting the stage for others to follow”, said Wettimuny.
