Book Launch:
Two new books from Navodya

Navodya Weligamage |
Two books translated by up and coming writer, Navodya Weligamage, and
published by Wijesuriya Publishers were launched last week.
Me Loka Awasanaya Nowe, a translation of It's not the end of the
World written by world famous American writer Judy Blum and Dangakara
Amelia Ayemath a translation of Amelia Jane Again written by Enid Blyton
will be available at leading bookshops in the country.
Navodya is a graduate at the University of Kelaniya and has published
eight books prior to this.
Dangakara Pipi, Burusu Konda Mantharakari, Manthare Bale are some of
her own writings while Dangakara Amelia, Punchi Desi Mala, Deeni,
Margaret and Aei Matama Mehema Wenne are her translations.
Navodya has compiled articles to several newspapers and works as an
Assistant Sponsorship Coordinator at the SOS Children's Villages Sri
Lanka National Office. She is an old girl of Devi Balika Vidyalaya,
Colombo. |
