Para Games top prize goes to Light Infantry

As many as 450 differently-able service personnel took part in the 18th Army Para Games that was sponsored by Dialog Axiata where 14 disciplines were worked off at the Mahinda Rajapaksa Stadium in Diyagama, Homagama.

The Sri Lanka Light Infantry, the oldest military regiment in the country, was adjudged overall Champions while the Gajaba and Vijayaba Infantry Regiments also took the honours by emerging first and second runners up respectively.

Athletics, archery, badminton, cycling, shooting, table tennis, power lifting, wheelchair marathon, tennis, basketball, swimming, wheelchair volleyball, beach volleyball and softball cricket featured in the Games.
