Thomians beat Royal at sailing

S Thomas' College Mount Lavinia won the second Royal-Thomian Optimist Sailing Regatta worked off at the Bolgoda on Saturday.

The Thomian Team A and Team B outplayed Royal College in the team races.

Kethaka Weerasuriya (captain), Akil Ismail, Jordan Bolling and Haresh Goonewardene represented the Thomian Team A while Daniel Peramune (vice captain), Zai Pestonjee, Jehan de Silva and Deshevka Fernando competed in Team B.

In the individual event Thomian captain Kethaka Weerasuriya clinched the Gold medal defeating school mates Zai Pestonjee (Silver) and Jordan Bolling who secured the Bronze medal.
