Ex-Kandy player Kalu Perera no more

Former Kandy SC rugby player Kaluarachchi Perera (better known as Kalu Perera) died under tragic circumstances on Thursday, a family spokesman said.

Kalu Perera played for St. Anthony's College in the early 1970s before enrolling at Kandy SC and later turned out for Navy.

He was the coach of players like Priyantha Ekanayake, LV Ekanayake and Lasantha Wijesuriya at St. Anthony's College in later years.
