'Investors keen to work with Govt'

Sri Lanka is being viewed with more positive investor sentiment after
the change of government, said Chief Executive Officer, London Stock
Exchange, Nikhil Rathi.
Speaking at the 'Invest Sri Lanka' investor forum hosted by the
Colombo Stock Exchange with Bloomberg at the Savoy Hotel yesterday, he
said that more investors are keen to work with the new government.
"Investor interest is increasing towards Sri Lanka as they are happy
with the direction in which the government is heading," he said.He also
said that the educated Sri Lankan work force too is another advantage
for Sri Lanka. The Forum in London will feature 12 listed companies and
Minister of Finance Ravi Karunanayake delivered the keynote address,
while Chairman of the Colombo Stock Exchange Vajira Kulatilaka and
Director General of the Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka
(SEC) Vajira Wijegunerwardane will make presentations on the
opportunities in the capital market and the regulatory framework. |
