Janashakthi powers NCE Export Awards

Janashakthi Insurance showcased its commitment towards recognising and rewarding the best of Sri Lanka's top exporters at the 23rd Annual NCE Export Awards 2015 conducted by the National Chamber of Exporters, the only private sector Chamber which exclusively serves Sri Lankan exporters.

"Janashakthi General Insurance is pleased to pledge commitment to continue its partnership with the National Chamber of Exporters and to be part of the exporters awards ceremony as a sponsor," said Chief Executive Officer, Janashakthi General Insurance Limited, Jude Fernando.

"Increased momentum in international trade and enhanced efforts across the globe to curb protectionism by embracing trade liberalisation and free trade, should benefit Sri Lankan exporters in the long run. Nevertheless, international markets will be volatile and we at Janashakthi Insurance are mindful to the multitude of risk factors and challenges exporters will have to face when they expand and move into global markets more aggressively," he said.

"We recognise that exporters need peace of mind to think strategically to develop products and services into global brands. While exporters take calculated risks to become global brand icons, we at Janashakthi Insurance as one of the leading general insurers in Sri Lanka strive to provide that essential peace of mind exporters need," said Fernando. President, National Chamber of Exporters of Sri Lanka, Sarada de Silva said, "The awards ceremony, held for 23 consecutive years, has achieved national significance over the years, and is one of the most looked forward to event in the business calendar of Sri Lanka. Exporters play a significant role in economic development. The Chamber stands ready to support the government to develop and implement a vibrant export led strategy," he said.
