Poems Teaching kids
A little time spent
Teaching kids to pick up,
Their toys now will save you,
A lot of time later,
Picking up after them,
And shouting at them,
To pick up
Their stuff.
First day at school
It's the first day at school,
And I want you to know,
You make me very proud,
And I love you so.
Make lots of friends,
And enjoy every day,
Cause once the day is done,
It's lost in every way.

Toy trucks
Little boys with their toy trucks
Roaring down the street,
Little boys that laugh with joy,
They're in the driver's seat.
They push the cars and trucks along,
And crash a time or two,
And soon the little toy trucks,
Don't look shiny and new.

The sandwich
The sandwich today is made with egg,
With some added lettuce and cheese,
I've put in a lot of extra love,
To fill you to your knees.
Hope this day is lots of fun,
And you learn and play and grin,
Enjoy every lesson and break,
And wipe the mayo from your chin.

Inchworm
Poor little inchworm,
With all his inchworm traits,
Crawled on to the yardstick,
But he was only seven-eighths.
"It's because of your posture"
His mother did say,
"There's a hump in your back,
That just won't go away."
"I forgot about my hump,"
He said with a laugh,
Then he stretched himself out,
To an inch and a half.
