 Stitched Fantasy in Gampaha, Kandy

Veteran Needle-Craft artist Indumathie Paranavithana's solo exhibition of needle-craft creations titled 'Stitch-Fantasy', which got under way at the Nivahana Hall, (Opposite the Yashodhara Devi Balika Vidyalaya) Gampaha on October 30, will conclude today. The second phase of the exhibition at the Kandyan Arts Hotel (Opposite the Kings Wood College) Kandy, will commence on November 6 and continue till November 8.

'Stitch-Fantasy' will showcase varying range of embroideries from Eyelet to Ribbon, Brazilian, Stylish, Hand to Handanger and Punch. Also on show will be Cross-Stitch, Paper-Quilling, Black-Work, 3-D Pergamano, Stylish White Work and many more creations. Parallel to the display or embroideries, there will also be an exhibition of books published by Indumathie on topics ranging from Stylish White Work, Ribbon, Brazilian, Hand, Handanger, Punch Embroidery, Cross-Stitch, Black-Work, Paper Quilling and Tracing Paper (Pergamano).
