Planning and Execution with Mindfulness
A one-day workshop for managers who work directly with the public
will be held on November 125 at the Nawaloka Hospital PLC. The topic of
the workshop is 'Planning and Execution with Mindfulness'.
Mindfulness programs are widely conducted for the staff of hospitals
and private and government organizations in countries such as the US,
UK, Canada, and Australia. The program at Nawaloka will be the first
ever program on Mindfulness conducted for a hospital in Sri Lanka.
The workshop at Nawaloka is aimed to specifically develop the
management staff to enhance the performance and deliver care within a
human corporate culture. The Managers will also learn about the
importance of integrating Mindfulness practice into their daily lives.
Most importantly, the managers will lay the groundwork to re-develop
and fine tune a set of core competencies for the Hospital. Such creative
work is facilitated in the calm and clear minds of the managers after
practicing a few sessions of Mindfulness meditation during the workshop.
This workshop is the pioneer in Sri Lanka due to another important
reason.
It is the very first program that will incorporate Corporate
Consulting with Mindfulness practice in Sri Lanka. Corporate consulting
is designed to assist businesses in developing or achieving goals that
lead to success.
Corporate consultants offer a wide range of services that include
evaluating an existing process or structure, fine tuning some or many
aspects of the company's operation and offering practical training to
key people within the corporate structure. Corporate consulting can be
focused on specific areas of a business or address the overall function
of the company.
The program will be conducted by Sunday Observer columnist Aruna
Manathunga who has practised Mindfulness for over 42 years.
