Maha Kumbhabhishekam

The Maha Kumbhabhishekam, and the 13th annual Festival of the All Ceylon Anantha Iyappa Devasthanam at Aluthmawatha Road, Colombo 15, which got underway on October 25 will come to a conclusion today (November 8). Kumbhabhishekam is a Hindu temple ritual that is believed to homogenize, synergize and unite the mystic powers of the deity. The Festival also included a flag-hoisting ceremony on October 25.
