Rupasinghe and Nonis shine as Textured Jersey win title

Textured Jersey emerged champions in the Emerald Ceylon Tea Cup MCA B division tournament when they beat DIMO by six wickets in the final at the MCA ground in Colombo yesterday.

Dimo put into bat were bowled out for 158 in 39.2 overs and Textured Jersey had no problem reaching the target as Gihan Rupasinghe scored an unbeaten 65 runs in 36 balls with eight sixes.

Nilushan Nonis scored 62 in 46 balls with nine boundaries and three sixes.

Rupasinghe was adjudged as man of the final.
