Sri Lankan women chicken feed for Kiwis

New Zealand's women cricketers completed a 5-0 series thrashing of Sri Lanka when they posted an eight wicket victory in the fifth and final match at Christchurch on Friday.

The Kiwi women were voracious in their approach that they devoured the Sri Lankan women in whole chunks winning the first game by 96 runs, the second by 10 wickets, the third by 188 runs and the fourth by 10 wickets.

In the last match the Sri Lankan women were bowled out for 99 as they consumed 47.5 overs and the host team had no problem wrapping up the match in just 17.3 overs.

Sri Lanka Cricket has invested heavily in the women's game.
