The Apeksha Women's Health Foundation, the CSR wing of the Apeksha Group hopes to launch a series of health educational and awareness programs across the country next year, Director, Apeksha Fertility Care and IVF Centre, Deepal Nelson said.

The Foundation conducts health education and awareness programs, free health seminars, workshops and training programs in schools, universities, private and State sector workplaces, banks, hospitals, and security forces personnel.

"A healthy and motivated woman results in a productive employee and a happy family," Nelson said.

The Foundation offers services such as Intra Uterine Insemination (IUI), In Vitro Fertilization (IVF), Intra Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI) and egg, embryo, sperm donation and sharing programs. We ensure 100% confidentiality and the highest ethical standards following UK guidelines," he said.

Apeksha Fertility Care which came into operation in 2010 to provide reproductive health services for women, launched its state-of-the-art In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) and Research Centre last year with an invest of over Rs. 50 million.

The Apeksha Group of Companies consists of Apeksha Fertility Care (Pvt) Ltd., in Nugegoda carrying on general infertility treatment including scans, clinics, laboratory facilities and Intra Uterine Insemination (IUI); Apeksha IVF and Research Centre (Pvt.) Ltd., in Ratmalana which deals with specialized infertility treatment including InVitro Fertilization (IVF), Intra Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI) and egg, embryo, sperm donation and sharing programs; and Apeksha Women's Health Foundation (Pvt) Ltd.

The Apeksha Foundation hopes to address obesity in Sri Lankan women by continuous and sustainable health education.

A co-founder of the foundation and the clinical director of Apeksha Fertility Care, Dr. Champa Nelson said, "When it comes to health education, it's not the same for each person.
