Chinthaka wins chess title

Chinthaka Anuruddha won the third Sri Lanka Grand Prix Chess title at Royal College Colombo recently conducted by the Chess Federation of Sri Lanka.

Anuruddha won six of the nine rounds. Udith Jayasundara from Fisher Chess Club Kandy won six from eight rounds as runner-up.

Osheen Silva from Navy SC won third place. Chirashsana Lamahewa (Ananda College Colombo) Randil Lakshitha (Fisher Chess club Kandy), CM Lasitha Subash (Navy SC), WIM Sachini Ranasinghe (Navy SC), P.D. Senanayake (Fisher Chess Club Kandy) and Dineth Sunera de Silva were placed fourth to ninth.
