Villa Thawthisa, a boutique hotel overlooking the Unawatuna beach with a captivating view of the thick forest cover is geared to woo more discerning travellers following its opening last month.

General Manager Jagath Wijesekara, Chef Mark Saman Perera, his team and guests mix the Christmas cake.

Built on a plush landscape spanning over six acres and offering a 200 degree panoramic view of the Southern sea, Villa Thawthisa is an ideal get away destination for holiday makers seeking leisure and relaxation away from the hustle and bustle of life. Nestled on the peak of a mountain, visitors could enjoy the view of the beach and the surroundings from their rooms which comprises in-built pools, jacuzzies and state-of-the-art facilities.

Having ventured into operations over a year ago to cater to up-market clientele, the hotel is today a sought after destination for local and foreign guests.

The hotel maintains high standards of service under the stewardship of Nimal Geeganage, a pioneer in the hotel industry, General Manager Jagath Wijesekara and Chef Mark Saman Perera.

Chairman, Villa Thawthisa, Nimal Geeganage said they had launched a mega expansion drive with six cabanas equipped with ultra modern facilities which will be in operation soon.

The super luxury service, 'Dream Realisation' was researched and introduced by General Manager Jagath Wijesekara.

The boutique hotel is the perfect get away to experience relaxation, privacy and the phenomenal sounds of the nature, away from the crowded beach side.

"Our Beach Club in the heart of Unawatuna beach offers reserved sun beds and credit facilities for hotel guests with safety lockers and fresh towels on offer, Wijesekara said.

The kitchen operates an open concept for guests to see their dishes being prepared and to participate in a little cookery with the expert chef.

The next hotel project will be launched in the famous Rumassala mountain range in Galle on December 10 coinciding with the 60th birthday of the Chairman.

The new hotel will carry a distinctive character of total privacy with a delicate balance between luxury and nature.
