General Manager Kulathunge said, "SLT is very proud and happy about the latest accolade won by our company, which emphasizes our commitment to quality and performance. Quality is a key area that we continue to focus on, to stand apart from the rest and to ensure that customers are guaranteed value for money."

The GPEA is organized by a non-profit organization, the APQO and is a strategic enabling tool for global performance excellence. The award evaluates organizations on a wide criteria including leadership, strategic planning, customer focus, measurement analysis and knowledge management, workforce focus, operations focus and results.

The GPEA helps to strengthen the strategies and performance of organizations to succeed in the fast evolving global market place. The GPEA process promotes awareness in performance excellence as an increasingly important tool in competitiveness towards global business success and sustainability.
