Havies struggle to win, Army overcome Air Force

Havelocks pulled off their third win of the season when they edged out Navy 16-13 while Army beat Air Force 37-25 in another match of the Dialog inter club League rugby championship at Diyagama yesterday.

Havelocks with wins over Police and CR and FC, had to come out with all their energies to keep at bay a spirited Navy team as they led 10-6 at half time. Havelocks scored just a solitary try that was converted to go with three penalties while Navy raked in their points from a try that was converted and two penalties.

Army on the other hand scored four tries which they converted along with three penalties while Air Force scored three tries, converting two and putting over two penalties.
