Mihin Lanka resumes Chennai flights

Mihin Lanka recommenced all flights to and from Chennai (Madras) on December 9 after a week of flight disruption due to floods which resulted in the closure of the airport. The airline re-commenced flights with its codeshare partner SriLankan Airlines.

Mihin Lanka and SriLankan Airlines arranged a special flight to bring back a group of Sri Lankan pilgrims who were stranded in the holy city of Buddha Gaya due to floods. The A320 Mihin Lanka airbus arrived in Buddha Gaya on December 6 morning and returned to Colombo in the afternoon.
