CASL, IFAC and SAFA to empower Asia's SMEs
In a fresh effort aimed at empowering the Small and Medium
practitioners and enterprises in the South Asian region, the Institute
of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka with the International Federation
of Accountants (IFAC) and the South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA),
have organized a regional SMP Forum to help educate Small and Medium
Practitioners (SMPs) leverage from future growth opportunities.
The CA Sri Lanka - IFAC - SAFA Forum which will be held on January 26
at the Cinnamon Lakeside, will be boosted with a line-up of high profile
international and regional subject experts, who will steer the forum and
share important insights on pertinent areas related to the development
and growth of SMPs in Sri Lanka and other parts of the South Asian
region.
The international line up of speakers includes Chairman of the IFAC
SMP Committee, Giancarlo Attolini, President of the European Federation
of Accountants and Auditors for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (EFAA),
Bodo Richardt and President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of
India, Manoj Fadnis who is also the Deputy President of the
Confederation of Asian and Pacific Accountants (CAPA).
They will be further complemented with a host of other foreign and
local speakers and facilitators from across the globe including South
Asia.
The forum is an important event, specially at a juncture with Asia
being identified as the engine of growth. The one-day forum is open to
practitioners and other professionals who work directly or indirectly
with SMP and SME affairs.
The forum which will include participants from all South Asian
countries, will help participants understand how to build capacity,
overcome current challenges and seize future opportunities and how to
grow the practices through the review, compilation and agreed upon
procedures, engagements, among other important areas relevant to the
sector and its development. |
