Special prayers for President at Al-Aqsa Mosque

The Ambassador of Sri Lanka in Palestine, Fawzan Anver had organised
special prayers to mark President Maithripala Sirisena's first year in
office on January 8, at the Masjid of Al-Aqsa Mosque in Palestine after
the Jumma prayers.
The Chief Imam of the Baith Ul Muqaddas, Sheik Ali Al Abbasi
officiated.
This is the first time a prayer of this nature was conducted at the
Al- Aqsa Mosque, the third Holy Mosque for Muslims, after Mecca and
Medina.
The Embassy Attaché, Shiraj Ahamed, friends of Sri Lanka in Palestine
and the Sri Lankan community were also present. |
