Dr. Atapattu felicitation ceremony
A felicitation ceremony in honour of former Health Minister Dr.
Ranjith Atapattu will be held at the Beliatta Technical College hall
today at 10.00 a.m. Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine Minister
Dr. Rajitha Senaratne and Justice and Buddhasasana Minister Dr.
Wijayadasa Rajapakshe will also participate.
Lecture on Leonard Woolf's novel
Dr. Shihan de Silva Jayasuriya, Senior Fellow at the Institute of
Commonwealth Studies, School of Advanced Study, University of London
will deliver a lecture on Leonard Woolf's Novel The Village in the
Jungle : Political Agenda Behind the Literary Work on January 12 at 4.30
p.m. at the ICES Auditorium, 2, Kynsey Terrace, Colombo 8.
Jayasuriya's works include numerous peer-reviewed articles in
international journals, six monographs, two edited volumes and two
ethnographic films in the fields of Historical Linguistics,
Ethnomusicology, Portuguese Studies, Diaspora Studies and Literature.
Lynn Ockersz will chair the programme.
Free seminars on 'Graphic Design & Multimedia' at SLIOP
The Sri Lanka Institute of Printing has organised a two
workshop-cum-seminars one Graphic Design and Multimedia on January 17

A recorded public talk on 'Seeing Fear as an Entraordinary Jewel' by
the late Indian sage Jiddu Krishnamurti will be played at the Anula
Nursery School, High Level Road, Colombo 6, today, January 10 at 9.45
a.m.

'Avian Fun Fiesta 2016' on Jan 16
The 'Avian Fun Fiesta 2016' organised by the Past Pupils'
Association, Ave Maria Convent, Negombo will be held on Saturday,
January 16 from 5 pm at the College premises, to start the New Year with
an evening enticed with music and dancing.
