Police and CR post wins
Police had a close call against Army in their Dialog inter club
League rugby match at Diyagama yesterday before winning 47-45 while CR
and FC had it easy with a 46-15 win over Air Force at Ratmalana on the
same day.
In the end Police had to throw in everything to subdue Army while
scoring seven tries in the process. Army fell short by a try as they
crossed the line six times to score.
CR and FC on the other hand conceded Air Force just two tries while
going over to score as many as seven tries to wrap up the match.
The first round matches in the League end today with Kandy playing
against Navy at the Nittawela stadium in Kandy.
Kandy are the only unbeaten team so far winning all their six games
played.
