Branch openings: BoC - Welikanda and Aralaganwila
The Bank of Ceylon (BoC) opened its 626th branch in Welikanda and
relocated its Aralaganwila branch recently. The full-fledged branch was
opened by President Maithripala Sirisena on the invitation of the Bank
of Ceylon's Chairman, Ronald C. Perera PC at a ceremony at the branch
premises.
Chairman Perera said, "With the opening of the Welikanda branch and
relocation of the Aralaganwila branch to a spacious and convenient
location, we ensure that customers get the best banking solutions with
the utmost convenience."
"With the opening of the Welikanda branch we look beyond providing
banking solutions to empower residents in the area by getting involved
with agricultural development projects through our SME and micro
financing schemes and livelihood development. We also look forward to
gradually enhance the financial literacy of the people," he said.
The two branches have an ATM facility that enables 24-hour banking
access.
Being part of the Bank's wide branch network of 625, these branches
enable customers to connect with any other branch spread across the
country. Customers can also enjoy all other retail banking facilities
that are available in any other BoC branch including the Bank's online
banking facility and its newest 'Smartgen' product. |
