St. Bridget's Convent, Colombo clinched the under-15 B division all island schools basketball championship after registering a dramatically demanding win against Sirimavo Bandaranaike Vidyalaya (SBV) by 43 points to 35 in the final worked off at their school court on Wednesday. Michelle Kategoda with 16 points was the star attraction as she rallied her mates while Thevni Ranasinghe 10 points and Ashlene Kodippily nine also lifted the spirits of the convent girls.

Quite appropriately Michelle pocketted the prize for the Most Valuable Player while her team-mate Shayami Perera was adjudged the Best Defensive Player.

Sirimavo's Liara Malmi took the Best Offensive Player's award.
