Ex-Lyceum boy does well in Adelaide

Mineth Heenkenda, a Sri Lankan Student of Glenanga International
School, Adelaide is representing the Adelaide Cricket Club in the under
14 premier league cricket tournament now in progress.
He has captured 11 wickets so far in three matches in the tournament
as a right arm medium pace opening bowler.
His highest score so far is 69 not out in 40 balls against West
Torrents Club last Saturday.
Heenkenda has also been selected to represent the South Australia
Under 14 squad.
According to coach Jason Harriat, if Heenkenda maintains his present
form in both batting and bowling he has a good chance of representing
the State under 14 team at the Inter State Tournament to be held
shortly.
When Heenkenda was in Sri Lanka, he performed a double hat-trick
against Wyctherly International, Colombo while representing Lyceum
International, Nugegoda at the under 13 International Schools Cricket
Tournament held in 2014.
He is the son of former cricket captain of Dharmaraja College, Kandy
Pradeep Heenkenda who is a lawyer by profession residing in Adelaide
with his wife Tharanga who is also a lawyer.
