Jaysons Realty (Pvt) Ltd (JRL) which replicated old English cottages
known as 'The Little England Cottages' in Nuwara Eliya, has launched a
project to build luxury apartments at De Saram Road, Mt. Lavinia.
The apartment complex is close to S.Thomas' College, Mount Lavinia
and around 150 metres from the Mount Lavinia beach. The site is also
within close proximity to shops, places of religious worship, medical
facilities, educational institutions, bus and train stations.
The project, De Saram Residencies (DSR), headed by Tarik Jayasuriya,
has been designed in collaboration with condominium designers, Milroy
Perera Associates (Pvt) Ltd and JRL.
DSR, a Board of Investment approved project has also received the
approval of the Urban Development Authority and the Local Council.
CEO Vasantha Jayasuriya said, "We came up with eccentric features and
architecture that has never been attempted so far with the hope of
positioning ourselves above other developers in Mount Lavinia."
The facade of DSR has been inspired by colonial architecture, which
dates back to designs found in Mount Lavinia in the old days and evident
in structures such as the Mount Lavinia Hotel and S.Thomas' College,
Mount Lavinia. This colonial design permeates the public area of the
building especially the design of the rooftop garden and swimming pool.
DSR consists of a combination of two and three bedroomed apartments
designed to optimise the apartment living experience for all residents.
