A Musical Way of Life
Sri Lanka Norway Music Corporation will stage ‘A Musical Way of
Life’, a concert showcasing the diversity of Sri Lankan folk music
traditions through performance and discussion at the Mihilaka Madura,
BMICH on February 11, 2016 at 6.00 p.m.
The Sri Lanka Norway Music Cooperation was established in 2009, with
the primary goal of strengthening reconciliation between Sri Lankan
communities across ethnic and religious boundaries through music,
especially traditional Folk music, which very beautifully depicts Sri
Lanka’s multi-ethnic and multi-cultural identity. Several activities
have been planned to celebrate the traditional folk music diversity
while promoting peace and reconciliation this year. ‘A Musical Way of
Life is the as the first of those events.
