Isipathana batsman hits first double hundred

Isipathana batsman Sanjula Abeywickrema became the first player in the current inter-school cricket season to smash a double hundred when he achieved the feat against Lumbini College at Havelock Park on Friday. He struck 20 fours and five sixes in making an unbeaten 204 off 270 balls.

Isipathana in the process scored a first innings win as they rattled up 430 for 5 declared and bowled out Lumbini for 185.
