Coconut-breaking ritual by 'Joint Opposition'

The 'Joint Opposition', which backs former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, lainched a coconut-breaking ritual on Saturday morning at the Seenigama Devalaya, appealing to the deities to intervene against the police Financial Crimes Investigations Division. Several MPs of the 'Joint Opposition' including Dinesh Gunawardena, Bandula Gunawardena, Jayantha Samaraweera, C.B. Rathnayake and Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena took part in the ritual.
