Minister Hakeem off to Turkey as PM's emissary

Rauff Hakeem, Leader of the Sri Lanka Muslim Congress (SLMC) and Minister of City Planning and Water Supply is on a week-long official visit to Turkey as part of the government's initiative to expand the market for Sri Lankan tea. Hakeem is scheduled hold discussions on the possibility of increasing the volume of tea exports to Turkey and to promote Sri Lanka as a tourist destination through close collaborations with Turkish Airlines.
