A ceremony to mark the 68th Independence Day of Sri Lanka was held at the Grand Park Hotel in Palestine, under the patronage of Ambassador of Sri Lanka in Palestine Fawzan Anver. Minister of Social Affairs Ibrahim Al Shaer was the chief guest. Indian Ambassador, Mahesh Kumar, Beitunia Mayor Rebhi Doleh, Commissioner of International Relation (Fatah) Dr. Nabil Shaath, Head of Asia and Africa Sectors in the Foreign Ministry, Dr. Mazen Shameyeh, Attaché Siraj Ahamed, Diplomatic Missions, members of the Sri Lankan community were also present .
