Pollard, Narine out of World T20

Explosive batsman Kieron Pollard and spinner Sunil Narine have pulled out from the West Indies team for the World T20 in India next month.

The two were part of a 15-member squad selected for the event.

Pollard withdrew citing 'lack of sufficient progress in his rehabilitation work' over an injury sustained in December while Narine cited 'insufficient progress in rehabilitation work' on his bowling action.

Narine is currently banned from bowling in international cricket.

Carlos Brathwaite will replace Pollard while a replacement for Narine is yet to be named.
