Hemas Hospitals launched a mobile app recently to meet patients' needs. The app can be downloaded free on Android and iOS devices.

The App takes users through a myriad of functions from accessing over 500 consultants, paying bills, to keep track and monitor the general health of the user, and serves as a one-stop mobile information hub for patient care services.

The benefit to App users will be health reports, appointments scheduling, appointments calendar, booking status plus health tracker and pregnancy trackers, all available in the palm of one's hands, he said.

This App enables the user to make payment from any part of the world against the outstanding bill of a particular patient. The App also shows the current number of any consultant one is waiting to see, thus saving time in waiting, said Dr. Peiris.

With this App, patients can track their payments and appointments in any of the branches. Other facilities will be included in the future. The App goes beyond simply providing information and is an important tool which will provide accurate medical and health information and easy access to consultants, Dr. Peiris said. As families balance their busy schedules with their health needs, this app provided by Hemas Hospitals, will become an essential tool for many, he said.
