The Junior Observer spoke to some children as to how they celebrate
Easter Sunday and this is what they had to say...
I am Debora. I usually go for mass with my family for Easter. We play
and have fun at home by decorating eggs. After decorating we offer them
to the church alter remembering that Jesus rose again. We get chocolate
eggs from the Sunday School. We play various games such as finding the
hidden eggs. Eggs are a symbol of Easter because in the egg their is new
life.
My name is Dinudi and I love celebrating Easter. We believe that
Jesus was crucified on Good Friday and He rose from the dead on Easter
Sunday. I like to play various games such as finding the eggs and
decorating raw eggs. The most interesting part is when we get chocolate
eggs. We decorate eggs beautifully and send it to orphanages. Eggs are a
symbol of Easter. We get cleansed and get a new life.
My name is Joseph. Today is Easter Sunday and it is the day I like to
celebrate. I decorate eggs with my mom and dad. They help me to paint
the raw eggs. They give me many chocolate eggs. Easter is a religious
festival which comes once a year. My mom used to narrate the story of
Easter and my teacher at school has too narrated the history of Easter. |
